The most-mined coin in the MicroBT M30S series, which all use the SHA-256 algorithm, is BTC. Bitcoin Cash (BCH), TerraCoin (TRC), and Unbreakable (UNB) are just a few of the coins that Whatsminer M30S can mine. The M30S was also among the first miners to feature 3x joules per Terahash generation. Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are among the coins mineable by the Whatsminer M30S+.

Appearance Comparison

All models of the Whatsminer M30S series use a one-in, one-out cooling system with two separate fans. Protection metal covers on the air inlet fans effectively cut down on noise and power usage. Additionally, the front fan adopts a 6-core flat interface while the rear adopts a 4-core 4P interface.

The WhatsMiner M30S series of miners has three built-in hash boards and uses a standard power supply model: P221B/P222B AC220V 240V and a 16A power cord.

Noise Level Comparison:

The temperature of the Whatsminer M30S miner ranges between -5 and 35 degrees Celsius under ideal mining conditions, and the fan helps to reduce noise. The noise level of a typical miner is about 75 db, whereas this device’s noise level is only 72 db.

The Whatsminer M30S+ generates a maximum of 82db when the sound level meter is positioned 15 cm away. By comparison to other miners in this class, the M30S+ is a strong miner. Additionally, the long-term resilient platform provided by other products is credited with providing superior stability.

The Whatsminer M30S++ has a 75db environmentally friendly volume. This means you can use it at home without being concerned about noise complaints. For large-scale Bitcoin mining, it is also the ideal miner.

Energy Efficiency Comparison

A power ratio of 38W/T is typical for the Whatsminer M30S. The information demonstrates that Whatsminer M30S is a popular choice among users and is constructed for dependability and profitability.

The Whatsminer M30S+ outperforms its rivals by 1%, achieving an average energy efficiency of 34 J/TH. In addition, it comes with a “high power” mode option to experiment with during a full day of mining. This miner’s average output has increased significantly to 109.4 TH/s. Under typical circumstances, the output is 3743W in high power mode and 3331W in normal mode, respectively.

Whatsminer M30S++ has a high efficiency rate of 0.030j/Gh. Increasing the miners’ power led to the high efficiency. The miner’s performance is improved by the power consumption of 3472W, and the high efficiency allows you to solve mining blocks and create new coins more quickly.

Origin of Whatsminer

Whatsminer is a creation of the mining equipment manufacturer MicroBT. In 2016, a month after he left Bitmain due to a compensation dispute, Zuoxing Yang founded MicroBT. Yang was one of Bitmain’s top designers for the Antminer S9.

About $22 million was raised by the company from Chinese sources. It informed Bloomberg in October 2018 that the first half of that year was profitable. Yang stated that it anticipated shipping 200,000 M20 Whatsminers, its most recent design, by the end of the month at the New Era Mining Summit in September 2019.

Bottom Line: Which One to Choose

With the variety of options available with Whatsminer, you could go for a miner which is more economical like the M30S, or choose a miner which can reap you high profits for the years to come, like the M30s++. Whatsminer mining has gotten a lot simpler as remote mining has grown in popularity because your provider now takes care of storage and maintenance.
